First Congregational Church Summerfest Builds Community

Come out and enjoy a great family outing at First Congregational Church's 4th Annual Summerfest at 361-365 Main Street( FCC parking lot) in Cromwell. The church is once again planning a weekend for local families to enjoy getting together. As Pastor Doug VanVeldhuisen describes the festival,

"In this day and age, time for the family is at an all time low between parents work schedules, children's involvements in sports and other organizations and just regular home responsibilities. It is for this reason that we are hosting our 4th annual Summerfest, to provide a place to bring the whole family, listen to good music of all types, eat some great food, play some games, and talk with neighbors while the children play. Of course, this will only happen if you mark your calendars and make plans now to set aside this time for some good old fashioned family fun."

The festival will run from 5-8pm on Friday(6/17) and noon-8pm on Saturday (6/18). The Summerfest features games for children of all ages, great food at family friendly prices, including freshly make apple fritters and live music throughout the event. Admission and parking are FREE, tickets will be sold at a nominal fee to play the games. While you're there, stop by the bake sale and chose from many delicious home-baked goods to take home with you.

Bring the kids, your parents, your neighbors, down to Main Street to relax together, enjoy some good food, play a few games, listen to a live band( maybe even dance a little...) during a wonderful community event.
